Winter has certainly arrived in Furano. And it's as if she never left.

Very white outside right now with about 7cm of snow has fallen since our last report.

Snow flakes are falling on my head.

The lifts have stopped moving signifying the end of the winter 2014/15 season.

Glorious spring weather surrounds the resort today with no clouds in sight and warm temperatures.

The rain front came through yesterday and delivered a significant amount of rain to the resort.

We awoke this morning to find the whole village under a light blanket of white.

Surprise to wake to snow this morning as it wasn't expected till later tonight.

At last the bad weather has passed us and we have a nice day with broken cloud and a bit of blue sky in between.

It is a bit of a mixed bag of news this morning with improvements in the weather but many lifts still closed.

The windy conditions persist and it is still gusting strongly around the base area.

Beautiful morning with temps already above minus.

Snow-wise it is an excellent day on the mountain with 10cm of new fresh dry snow having fallen overnight at the base of the mountain.
