Furano Ski Resort will start operating from this morning.

The snow continued through yesterday dumping another 20cm as of this morning.

It has been a warm lead into winter and just a couple of days ago it was +16c.

The winter conditions continue in Furano. It is snowing moderately and there is 11cm of new snow on the ground.

After yesterday's report was posted the front continued to dump snow and a further 9cm fell during the day.

Welcome back. This morning has brought the first proper winter blast of the season.

Furano Ski Area is now closed for the season.

It is raining moderately and the rainy weather is forecast to stay through the day.

There has been a dusting of snow on the resort and the trees have a coating of white.

There is low cloud over the resort this morning, down to base area.

A snow front arrived late last night and there is 5cm of fresh snow blanketing the ground.

It is a nice morning with clear conditions.

It will be a cloudy day with the possibility of snow flurries briefly in the afternoon.

There has been a light dusting of snow overnight and the overall look of the morning is very wintery.
