We have awoken to a cracker of a day.

There has been a solid dump of snow overnight with 19cm accumulation at the moment and still snowing.

Welcome to a windy Friday. As the forecast predicted the winds increased from late last night and are now moderate at base, gusting to strong intermittently.

The day started off with clouds rolling a little way down the resort from the tops, but creating flat light conditions down to base.

Furano has received a solid amount of fresh snowfall overnight and it is extremely light and dry, even at village level.

The sound of strong wind could be heard overnight, and stepping outside this morning the fresh snow on the ground showed clearly that there had been a wind effect.

It is a nice clear day with plenty of sunshine.

It continued to snow for most of the day, but in classic Furano style visibility remained good even when snowing!

It has been an epic day in Furano with 15cm of new snow at village level and 40cm at the top of the resort...wow 40cm.

Today started off at -5c but the temperature has risen to +1c as can be evidenced by water from melt over the roads.

It was good to see some new snowfall on the ground this morning even if it was on the light side, totaling 3cm.

It is a great day on the slopes with plenty of overnight fresh snow. Premium Zone seems to have caught a substantial amount of snow and would have to be run of the day.

Furuno's snowfall continues to tick over and we have had a further 5cm this morning.

There has been a nice dusting of 4cm of powder overnight and a little more light snowfall is expected during the day.
