New snowfall at base 1cm
Snowfall at base this season 452cm
Posted on Wednesday 15th February 2017 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.
Today started off at -5c but the temperature has risen to +1c as can be evidenced by water from melt over the roads. Looking around at carparks and seeing the tarseal breaking through the slushy snow, you would think that spring had started. It has been snowing lightly today, but the day's accumulation hasn't amounted to more than 1cm.
Good news looks like it is coming our way though with moderate snowfall tomorrow evening through to Friday morning. Lets hope this does actually happen and we can get back to nice powdery conditions.
