Good morning and a very early report today. I woke up early and had my early morning walk and it was really lovely out there.

Today is the last day of March and so the last day of the season for 10 of the ski areas making up Shiga Kogen.

Almost 20C in town yesterday.

Your reporter is back out on the golf course, or should I say the cross-country ski course for the second day of racing, for levels from primary school to adult men.

It is a cloudy kind of start to the day, but quite bright with a few shadows in places. We should have some clearer skies and sunshine tomorrow.

Fine weather yesterday but we have some light rain starting up this morning.

Hello from Nozawa Onsen and we're now officially in the last section of the season.

Sunny and warm again but it's going to turn tomorrow with rain expected for the day.
