Morning from Zao and just a light sprinkling of fresh snow to report.

This morning I can just about justify awarding 1cm to my report. More like 9mm.

A good start to the day with 17cm of fresh snow on the ground here at base and snow falling early on.

It's a cloudy start to the day with what looks like limited visibility up on the mountain.

Morning from Zao Onsen and I have just under 15cm of fresh snow to report from down here at base.

Hello from Zao and there's fresh snowfall to report.

I measured 13cm of fresh snowfall this morning since my report yesterday.

Bit by bit, we are getting fresh snowfall - though I'd prefer the tap be set to 'fully open'!

Just 2cm of fresh snow this morning but with a bit more of the resort opening - namely part of Uwanodai area.

The sun was out yesterday but the news this morning (apart from the nearly 10cm of fresh snow on the ground) is that the Chuo Number 1 pair lift will be operating today.

It's a fine morning here in Zao, but importantly there's 3cm of fresh snow on the ground here at base as well.

There was some rain yesterday but the sooner we forget that the better.
