Spring? Nope, not up here! It's still mid-winter here and it looks set to continue.

Yesterday the weather was a bit mad once again. I am no fan of strong winds; there're just... annoying.

It's a bit... wet, this morning. Not rain, not quite powder snow either. Sleet I think is the word I'm looking for. Or wet snow.

All clear blue skies this morning. Hurray!

Oh dear. It's still very cold, windy and blizzard-like conditions here this morning. It's not letting up yet!

Blimey, it was extremely cold just before when I went out to measure the snow.

Back to snow! And on this last report of January I bring you news of 11cm of fresh snowfall at base up until 8am.

There is a modest amount of fresh snow on the ground this morning.

I can bring you news of some new cm of snow this morning. Not a large amount - just under 5cm (but I'm remembering those few unreported mm from yesterday).

So yes, yesterday was rather wild. The bottom Hanazono quad lift got moving as did a few Jumbo lifts over at Annupuri, but lots of the lifts remained at a standstill as the wind blew.

It's a wild one and I am going to keep it short.

Yesterday was indeed a fine morning as many good folk scrambled to get up to the top area that had been previously closed due to winds. It was really good up there.
