Blimey, it was extremely cold just before when I went out to measure the snow.
It was worth it though, with me measuring a good 21cm of fresh snowfall to start off the month of February. Looking like excellent quality snow too. And with more of it for sure out there at higher elevations, there's going to be some fun to have.
But. We might not get to lots of it today. That's because the wind is blowing again and lifts are on hold at the start of the day. As I post this report all of the top lifts are not starting the day as planned, as well as the main gondola at Niseko Village and Niseko Annupuri and a few more upper lifts.
Perhaps a break in snow over the weekend but more snow is due early week onwards. Let's see how this wind situation shapes up.
Conditions are likely going to be challenging today. If you are venturing out in such conditions, do take special care.
