Rain turned to snow and the ski area is reporting 15cm of fresh this morning... I've actually measured more than that! Not the fluffiest of snow, but we'll very gladly take it!

Good morning from Madarao on this first day of the ski season.

Madarao will open tomorrow (Saturday 13th). It's not clear what lifts will be operating, they will decide that later today, but it will be part open.

The ski area will need more to open on Saturday but some good snowfall is currently forecast going into Friday.

Sunshine is forecast for the weekend.

More fresh snow! 15-20cm of it, too, giving us a nice new covering.

We have snow! And a really good amount of it has been delivered since yesterday, too.

It's good to be back and it's also good to be getting some cool and sometimes cold weather too.

It's a cloudy morning but there is blue sky around and some sun, too.

I know Madarao is now closed, but Tangram is not... and it's still fresh snow for the 2024-2025 season, so needs to be reported/recorded!

On this last weekend of the season for Madarao, we do indeed have some fresh snow.

What about this then?! About 30cm of fresh snow! I felt it was my duty to go out and explore first thing to confirm this myself before I reported.

There's more fresh snow on the ground this morning.

Another 10cm or so of fresh snow since yesterday and it was a pretty cold start this morning.
