Welcome back to Madarao Now

Good morning from Madarao on this last day of the 2025-2026 season for the two ski areas on the mountain.

A cloudy morning it has been with some signs of sun and blue sky in places. More of that is expected and hopefully we'll have fine weather over the weekend too.

Fine and mild and clear and sort of hazy is what we have this morning.

Quite chilly early on but it should end up being a mild day. A fine day to be out there.

Blue sky with some cloud (and increasingly so as of 11:15am).

The forecast for the weekend remains largely cloud and light snow at times.

A mix of cloud and blue sky at the start of operations today and it feels chilly outside.

The ski area isn't reporting any cm of snowfall since yesterday. I'm not sure I'd agree with that and I have measured 3cm. It's definitely colder, too.

I have good news! Yes, we do have a layer of fresh snow this morning.

I am able to bring you some good news (re: snow) this morning.

The day starts with bright light blue skies.

There was an avalanche yesterday at around 2pm within the ski area and five people had to be rescued.

It's not very nice this morning. Rain, poor visibility, a bit yucky.
