The good news is that it has been snowing continuously since early this morning.

It is a nice morning with very chilly temperatures but some blue sky breaking through the cloud cover.

The slopes were bustling this morning! A clear and cold dawn has given way to scattered snow showers with occasional bursts of sunshine, and it looks like everyone in town has decided to hit the slopes.

A few centimeters of fresh fell overnight, but other than that, there is not too much to report on this beautiful Saturday morning.

There has been 8cm of new snow at village level overnight.

Blue skies made an appearance very early in the morning but disappeared by 9am and have been replaced by high cloud.

Yesterday afternoon forecast snow arrived which amounted to around 5cm at base level.

There are great views from Furano Ski Area this morning and it is another fantastic blue sky day perfect for getting some photos.

It is a chilly Furano morning today.

The winds have died down to next to nothing, and all the lifts are running smoothly today.

Another day, another round of getting hammered by overnight snowstorms in Furano, and last night was no exception.

It is all good news to report today.

There is high cloud this morning and light winds around the base area, increasing with elevation.

The day turned out to be great with morning cloud lifting early and the sun breaking through to make a typically cold Furano day quite pleasant.
