Snowfall at base this season 125cm

Good morning from Zao.

5cm of fresh snow to report and some fairly decent weather this morning. The snow clouds have eased off but they may be back.

As with other regions of Japan it does look like the latter part of this week is going to be bringing a lot of snow. Heavy snow is forecast and it will be greeted with open arms and big smiles. If you plan to be here late week and the coming weekend, be prepared for snow, more snow and full on winter conditions. It would be a great way to end the year and start 2019.
