Good morning from Zao on this Monday morning... and what is the first official day of the ski season.
Yes, a ski lift is moving - the Chuo Number 1 pair lift to be exact. (The Ropeways of course operate throughout the year). The sow is still pretty thin on the ground - they are reporting 30cm up there - but the Chuo course is open so you can get your first runs in for the season.
The latest forecast is showing some snow perhaps tomorrow night and then later in the week.
