Independent snow and weather reporting from the Yuzawa & Minamiuonuma region of Niigata
New snowfall at base 5cm
Snowfall at base this season 738cm
Posted on Sunday 9th March 2014 This is an archived report. The latest Yuzawa Now report can be found here.
Just under 10cm of new snow on the top of the car this morning, so that is since yesterday mid morning. Resorts report between a few cm and up to 10cm (at Kagura), so another thin layer to add to what we got before.
Yesterday we had a bit of a clearing in the clouds earlier on but that soon clouded over again and it was snowing for most of the day.
This morning is different. Clear blue skies above Yuzawa... a bit of a hazy feel in some directions but generally it is a beautiful morning and it should be great conditions whichever skijo is chosen.
Hope you can get to enjoy it.
More snow due tonight and tomorrow.
