The good news continues today. Snow through the day yesterday - the morning clearing and blue sky was only temporary - and more snow overnight. There was at least 10cm yesterday, and 20cm on my car this morning so I'm calling for at least 30cm in town.
Kagura report 30-50cm (and still does not change it's snow depth number!)
Maiko report over 30cm.
(My car reports over 30cm as I said).
GALA Yuzawa snow depth is now up to 4m.
Some of the official snow depth numbers are higher now after this snow than they have been at any other time this season. Goes to show hey? March is generally seen as something of a gamble for weather/snow conditions, but anyone around at the moment is on a 'win' for sure.
The exact numbers aren't important, what is important is all that fresh snow.
As yesterday, this morning the snow has eased and the clouds have broken and we have some blue sky. Like yesterday, it perhaps won't last as we are expecting the snow clouds to be around for the day.
There's not much of a wind now, but stronger forecast for later. Right now though all resorts open as normal.
Cloud/snow forecast for tomorrow.
Should be a really great weekend.
