Yesterday it was snowing and cloudy for the whole day but there was only a thin coating of new snow to show for it by evening in town, and this morning the resorts around Yuzawa are reporting 1-5cm of snow - Kagura up top 5-10cm since yesterday.
This morning clouds have dispersed and we have blue skies once again, even though the local forecast is cloud. Similar conditions along with mild temperatures are likely tomorrow and Wednesday as well with more snow due around Thursday.
At 9am this morning it is -2C in Yuzawa.
I think I'm right in thinking that we're still less snow than usual for the time of year. It's going to be interesting to see how the season turns out when we look back on it. For now though still a lot of snow out there and it should be a fine morning on the mountains.
