Good morning from Yuzawa.
Happy to report the first snowfall recorded at town level this morning.
Kagura is reporting 40cm of snowfall since yesterday. I can't see any news of more lifts/courses opening (at 8:45am), but as more snow falls that is surely going to happen very soon.
More snow is forecast through tomorrow and then, after a few days of possibly clearer skies, more snow is forecast from Wednesday onwards.
This is all very encouraging.
(Joetsu Kokusai cannot yet open, of course, but you never know... if we get some good snow cover over the next few days they might not be far off)
