Update

Tomorrow is going to be windy by the looks and we can expect lift disruption - at the time of my update, both GALA Yuzawa and Ishiuchi Maruyama have said that they will not be opening tomorrow. Others might be affected. With rain too, it's not going to be nice out there anyway!

------

Good morning from Yuzawa.

It's a bright and sunny and very warm morning. The temperature shown by the side of Route 17 about 15 minutes ago was 18C. It's due to warm up to over 20C today for the first time this year.

Rain is expected tomorrow.

Yesterday was the last day of the snow season for the following ski areas:

- Iwappara

- Maiko Snow Resort

- Muica Snow Resort

- Muikamachi Hakkaisan

- Yuzawa Nakazato Snow Resort

Sorry, Nakazato Snow Wood was in the list by accident yesterday... it is open today, but today is the last day.

The following ski areas are open on a limited basis (just about!) until tomorrow:

- Ipponsugi

- Naspa Ski Garden

- Yuzawa Park

After tomorrow, we'll be left with GALA Yuzawa, Yuzawa Kogen, Kandatsu Snow Resort, Joetsu Kokusai, Kagura and Naeba.

That snow remaining in the shaded corner of my garden... I think it might last a few more hours!
