Yesterday I didn't venture outside much until the evening and don't know what we going on weather-wise. Perhaps a good idea, but at least it wasn't raining by then.
This morning we have one of those clear and beautiful blue sky morning. The mountains are looking really beautiful. The snow is feeling... spring.
I think the best comment regarding our snow is that conditions are generally better the higher up you go.
There is some snow on the two week forecasts in places, though just how much we actually might get remains to be seen. If we don't get much, though, and the mild/warm conditions continue, we have to prepare ourselves for the possibility that some ski areas might not be able to remain open as long as they originally planned. Hopefully we won't get there and March might still deliver some surprises. Sometimes when you get a run of warmth and lack of snow, you start thinking things...!
My mind can't help but remember the mad snowfall that we enjoyed last February. It's quite the contrast with this year.
Still, spring-like conditions can be a whole lot of fun. A different mindset is perhaps required. Let's try to enjoy what we have while we still have it!
Tomorrow should at least start off fine again.
