Well, things didn't really clear up yesterday - rather there was still snow falling in higher areas during the day, and a bit wet lower down.
This morning, it's snowing!
I'm happy to be able to report snow on the ground in town - 7cm at our point in Yuzawa, 4cm in Minamiuonuma to the north of Yuzawa.
And here is what the 'resorts that report' are reporting:
Kagura: 20cm
Kagura (Mitsumata): 5cm
Kagura (Tashiro): 15cm
Maiko Snow Resort: 10-15cm
It's still snowing as of 8am and it's forecast to be snowing for the day.
Sunny skies are forecast for the weekend so this snowfall is perfect timing for the weekend.
