Yesterday light snow continued in the morning but by late in the afternoon we had beautiful clear skies over Yuzawa and the sun shining. A beautiful end to the day. Out of the wind it felt fairly mild (and surprisingly 20+cm of snow has disappeared off the top of my garden shed by evening), colder when there was some wind on your face.
But this morning, snow is back. Here's how much the ski resorts are reporting:
Kagura (main): 20cm
Kagura (Mitsumata): 15cm
Kagura (Tashiro): 10cm
Maiko Snow Resort: 10-20cm
And I am measuring 8cm.
So there should be a nice new layer of snow on the slopes; a little deeper in higher areas.
The forecasts seem to be predicting light snow or cloud for the day, to be followed by the chance of some clearer skies and sunshine again during the day tomorrow.
