Snow was falling for much of the day yesterday though it was generally fairly light and didn't end up with much in terms of a fresh layer on the ground.
Kagura resort is reporting up to 5cm of fresh snow and Maiko Snow Resort are reporting just a little without any numbers. There is a thin layer of snow on the top of cars parked since yesterday.
There is some cloud around as of 7:30am but blue sky too and we can probably expect more of the blue skies and sunshine during the day today.
It's a chilly start, -4C, and will likely rise to around +2C later this afternoon. It seems quite windy as well, though not enough to affect ski lift operations.
More sunshine is forecast for tomorrow along with slightly higher temperatures.
For those planning for the weekend, there might be some fresh snow falling on Saturday though it doesn't appear to be heavy snow.
Can hardly believe that this time next week we'll be in March. Too fast!
