Independent snow and weather reporting from the Yuzawa & Minamiuonuma region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 358cm

Posted on Monday 20th January 2014 This is an archived report. The latest Yuzawa Now report can be found here.

I had about 10-15cm of snow to move by the end of the day yesterday and another few cm this morning, though the resorts - including Kagura - are reporting 5-10cm.

After that snowy day yesterday, this morning the sun is out over Yuzawa. It's not clear blue skies... more bright but overcast. -3C as of 9am. Hopefully some snow overnight tonight again.

Warmer conditions on the horizon later on in the week and into the weekend.

For now though, really nice snow conditions and a clear day to enjoy them.
