Yesterday there was some blue sky and sunshine by late morning, but we are back to cloudy skies this morning. There are a few small breaks in the cloud and it is generally quite bright.
We might get some light rain today, hopefully not much, and if we are lucky it might be snow up at Kagura. (Kagura is actually this morning reporting 1cm of fresh snowfall since yesterday).
It is currently just under 3C in town with a high of around 8C forecast for later this afternoon.
Ten ski areas remain open in the region - eight in Yuzawa and two in Minamiuonuma. Details below!
And, of course, Okutadami Maruyama further to the north in Uonuma, is now open for its spring season.
