This morning started off bright and sort of clear but a thin layer of cloud up in the skies above Yuzawa - more blue skies to the north in Minamiuonuma.

As the morning progressed, the clouds cleared and now there are wide open clear blue skies over Yuzawa. There's some great scenery on display this lunchtime. With the snow of the last few days as well decent conditions out on the slopes especially early on - it was a cold start.

Fireworks at Gala Yuzawa tonight.

Tomorrow there is a chance of another bright start though it is forecast to cloud over later in the day.
