In my report I said 'nothing major' when talking about the snow lined up over the week. That's what the report said yesterday morning but the snow came and we have had a decent amount fall since then. Reports from around town vary, as they do of course, but I would say 20cm around town and the most being reported is from Kagura where up to 40cm has fallen.
A bit unexpected but a nice surprise and it will certainly have made conditions much better for today and of course in time for the upcoming weekend as well.
Snow still falling but only about 5cm due before it gets dark. According to the forecast the skies should be clearing up by evening as well and tomorrow is set to be a clear and sunny day in the area. Hopefully not warming up too much.
After today hardly any snow forecast for the coming week. I'm partly saying that in the hope that it will encourage the snow gods out there to bring us lots of snow, and we can only hope they are wrong.
For now though, renewed good conditions and it should be a fine long weekend. (Monday is a holiday in Japan).
