Yesterday in the morning the clouds parted for a while and we were treated to some brilliant blue skies for a while. Everywhere looked gorgeous. Clouds eventually moved back in and overnight there has been some new snowfall, up to 10cm and Kagura reporting up to 20cm.
Right now it is snowing lightly but my colleague just to the north in Minamiuonuma tells me that is is snowing nicely there now with some big flakes of snow so there's some snow left in those clouds.
Once these clouds dry up though we are likely not to see much snowfall for a period. There's even some rain lined up for the weekend currently on the forecast, so it's be good if we could avoid that. A warmer period of weather is likely though into next week.
