The snow clouds remain in the area. Yesterday it was on and off, and in the evening there were some really nice big snowflakes coming down from the sky. About 70cm of untouched snow behind SJ World Headquarters in Minamiuonuma.
This morning light snow is still falling though it isn't the kind that is going to give us big numbers of new cm. It should be easing off later on in the day as well and after that we might be done with snowfall for a number of days.
Tomorrow the sun is likely to make a special appearance and then on Saturday unfortunately it looks like there is a good chance of rain in Yuzawa. Not the best weather for those resorts planning to open on Saturday but I am sure that won't spoil all of the fun. Fingers crossed it will be minimal.
We have had a good start here, lets hope it bodes well for the season.
