Good morning from Yuzawa.
It has to be an early report this morning and so too early for some of the snow depth numbers below to be updated.
How great was it to get that blast of winter the previous few days?! :)
We had light snow on continuing for much of yesterday during the day, though it didn't really amount to much down in town... there might have been several cm or more at higher elevations.
This morning we start with cold temps, beautiful clear skies, and a wind that you can hear. As of 7am, there don't seem to be any notices of ski areas not opening due to wind, so hopefully they all will be open as planned... (In fact, Kagura seems to be saying there is 'no wind'. Curious!)
It should be a great morning to enjoy the snow.
Cloud is expected later on today with things warming up to a high temp of around +7C in town. Tomorrow we might get some rain but there might be more snow for us as we get into Wednesday.
** Update at 9am: wind doesn't seem to be an issue at all!
