New snowfall at base 2cm
Snowfall at base this seas 860cm

Yesterday we enjoyed a sunny day with clouds gradually gathering later on.
We have some (wet) snow falling early on some and there's a dusting kind of layer of snow so far.
Unfortunately, pretty much all forecasts are still warning that there's a good chance it will turn to rain in town today; hopefully even if that happens, it will still be snowing at higher elevations.
There's not a whole lot of snow potential on forecasts over the next week; rather we still expect a mild bump over the weekend.
Ishiuchi Maruyama is having some problems with water supply, with no water currently available in upper areas. They hope to get it fixed up by the weekend. Ski lifts are operating but you need to get back down to use facilities that require water!
Today is a national holiday in Japan and so ski areas will very likely be busier than normal for a weekday.
