Just a fairly thin layer of new snow from yesterday but this morning it's blue skies over Shiga Kogen and while it's still below zero, it's not too far under and so quite a mild start to the day. More of that tomorrow, probably even more so, before temperatures plummet from Monday and we see snow as well. The local forecast tells us to expect a snowy New Year.
It is getting noticeably busier today with lots of people making their way up to Shiga Kogen on Route 292 this morning.
