New snowfall at base 32cm
Snowfall at base this season 659cm

Posted on Tuesday 24th January 2017 This is an archived report. The latest Shiga Kogen Now report can be found here.

How about another 30+cm of fresh snowfall? You got it!

I'm getting used to this!

Right now it's very cold, snowing and more than a bit windy in places. Visibility is generally rather poor too.

A fair lifts are being affected this morning waiting for conditions to calm down some. Hopefully as the day progresses.

There conditions are not for everyone but the snow is excellent.

Tomorrow should be calmer and perhaps clearer with sun definitely on the forecast for Thursday. That should be a top day to be here.
