Good morning from Nozawa, and I have some very good news this morning.
We have enjoyed a very good delivery of snowfall overnight.
This morning the ski area is reporting 45-50cm of fresh snowfall across the mountain. Add on a few cm from yesterday, and you get a total of 47-55cm since yesterday morning.
And I have measured 48cm of new snow down by base.
Excellent. That sounds more like what we expect in Nozawa, doesn't it? :)
I would expect this snowfall to allow more of the mountain to open up, but I don't have any specific news on that just yet other than the opening of Hikage and Rinkan. So some of the info below might be out of day when you read it.
Now, if the season can settle into a regular delivery of snow, we will all be very pleased.
