Hello and a good morning to you from Nozawa.
There is lots of cloud around this morning but are some of them perhaps retreating? It looks like clearer skies might happen at the moment, but even if that happens it isn't going to be lasting for long with snow due particularly later on in the day - and that heavy snowfall that we are expecting tonight (looks like it is really going to be coming down in style overnight). It's not particularly cold this morning so we look set to be having a pretty mild day. A good day to get an early start.
The resort has reported up 5-9cm of fresh snowfall on the upper slopes since yesterday morning.
I'll see you tomorrow with hopefully some good news of fresh powder on the ground.
