New snowfall at base 7cm
Snowfall at base this season 27cm
Posted on Sunday 8th December 2024 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.
We have had more snow since yesterday. Not a huge amount, with the ski are reporting 15cm this morning (and 1cm yesterday lunchtime).
Some potentially heavy snowfall is expected today so I hope to bring you exciting news about that tomorrow. As I post this report the top Yamabiko webcam is looking very snowy (with what you can see with low visibility, anyway!)
With the fresh snow on the mountain, more is starting to become available. All of the Yamabiko runs are scheduled to be open today, with the Uenotaira course set to open from tomorrow.
I wonder if Naski, our fave bright green skiing vegetable, will be out on the slopes today. Be sure to say hi.
