Snowfall at base this season 910cm

The huge snow has continued with the ski area reporting another 90cm on upper areas. When it snows like this it's truly awe-inspiring. Totally deep conditions out there this Monday morning, enough to easily get lost in. Know where you are going and be extra careful, is what Naski just told me. (After a few days break, Naski is out and smiling on the Hikage area this morning). The ski area is making a point of asking people not to venture out into strictly off-limits areas due to the danger.

OK it's still snowing this morning but we're heading out of this storm and expecting a few days of clearer weather this week.

Phew!

This is full-on Nozawa, truly excellent conditions at the moment.
