Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 7cm
Snowfall at base this season 516cm

Posted on Tuesday 5th March 2024 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.

Since yesterday the ski area has reported up to 30cm of new snowfall on the top area of the mountain (and 5-10cm down to base). My measurement was 7cm.

It's a grey and cloudy morning but hopefully by tonight there might be some snow falling once again and some more tomorrow. We probably shouldn't expect much, but just before and during the weekend is looking promising for more cm of fresh snowfall.
