Posted on Friday 5th April 2013 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.

Lunchtime report on this rather warm day in Nozawa. So warm in fact that the resort has reporting a temperature of +17 degrees at the Hikage area, 12 degrees at Uenotaira and 10 degrees at Yamabiko. (As you might expect... no new snow!!)

But it has been a fine morning here with blue skies all around and not much of a wind.

Tomorrow will very probably be similar up until later on in the afternoon when rain is due and that will probably continue into Sunday as well. Freezing level is zooming right up well above 3000m and so we can't expect anything but rain up top either. Hopefully it will hold out until late tomorrow so Saturday visitors can avoid the rain, though Sunday is looking a much riskier choice according the forecasts.
