Here we are in April already. Where did the season go?!

As mentioned previously from today we're into the final stretch with just upper areas of Nozawa Onsen open and reduced lift ticket prices. Details posted below.

After getting rather wet yesterday with rain starting around lunchtime down in the village (boo), it's lovely and sunny this morning in Nozawa (hurray). Let me just temper that by saying that apparently there was snow falling higher up - but I wasn't there to witness it, unfortunately. The resort is reporting 2cm since yesterday up there.

Lots of blue sky and the sun shining down on us. It's a fairly chilly start with a high of around 7 degrees forecast for later on in the day today. It should be a nice day to be out.

The rain didn't do the remaining snow any favours of course, and I would imagine some rather crusty conditions out there this morning. We will probably see the snow dry up from lower slopes rather quickly now.

So fine weather today and then tomorrow it looks like the rain will be back.
