Snowfall at base this season 366cm
Posted on Tuesday 4th January 2022 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.
It's an early one today. A thin layer of snow on the ground this morning (I'm sure we were expecting more), but the ski area is reporting a total of 20cm since yesterday on the top Yamabiko area (5cm of that since early morning yesterday).
It turned out to be a fairly mild afternoon and nice to see some sun too.
This morning light snow is falling and we are due snow through the day into tomorrow. Going to be interesting to see how the day develops. Since I got up visibility has become worse and the snow has gotten stronger...

- Yamabiko (1615m): 20cm
- Uenotaira (1407m): 9cm
- Hikage (660m): 5cm
