We have had more snow. There's 30cm on upper areas, according to the ski area and more like around half of that down in base areas. The snowfall has eased off early morning and it's actually quite bright down at base now but the webcams show a much more visibility challenging situation on upper areas. I'm guessing that might improve during the morning.
The forecasts for the weekend are still all showing some moderate to heavy snowfall both on Saturday and Sunday. We should be on for some big numbers. Hopefully wind will not be too much of an issue but it will surely be at least very snowy and pretty cold too.
Fresh snowfall recorded by the ski area (total since yesterday morning):
- Yamabiko (1615m): 30cm
- Uenotaira (1407m): 30cm
- Hikage (660m): 15cm
- Nagasaka (616m): 15cm
- Karasawa (563m): 10cm
Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):
- Yamabiko (1615m): 360cm
- Uenotaira (1407m): 310cm
- Hikage (660m): 260cm
- Nagasaka (616m): 255cm
- Karasawa (563m): 185m

- Lifts rested today: Skyline connecting pair, Challenge pair, Utopia pair, Karasawa pair
- Subject to weather conditions all lifts that plan to be open should be ok. See above main report for specific info for this morning.
- The top Yamabiko A-D courses close at 3:20pm until 27th March (at 3:10pm after that).
- Skyline course closes at 4:10pm.
- The Nagasaka quad lift is planned to open for night skiing 11th-12th Feb (subject to change).
