Good morning from Nozawa on this first day of the ski season.


It might be wet and raining down here at base, but there has been some snow up on the mountain and it is (apparently) snowing lightly up there now.


Limited visibility, but the top Yamabiko D course is now open. You get there via the Nagasaka gondola.


After today, we might get some clearer (at least dryer) weather tomorrow and early week, with the next snowfall due later in the week.
