I am away at the moment, back tonight, so report coming to you via a phone call with a friend.

Not feeling particularly cold still, with light snow falling on mountain and limited visibility especially at higher elevations.

We can probably expect the next 3 or 4 days to be very busy, perhaps with the crowds thinning out on Sunday as people return to their normal lives in time for Monday.

The official new snowfall numbers are confusing me a bit this morning, so I'm taking them out for the day.

Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):

Yamabiko: 240cm

Uenotaira: 185cm

Hikage: 155cm

Nagasaka: 160cm

Karasawa: 120cm

Lifts:

All scheduled lifts are operating as planned

Courses:

All courses are available apart Challenge 39 Wall and Mukobayashi

All snowfall data presented on this page is the snowfall measured and observed at base/town level by our reporter based in Nozawa Onsen. The 'new snowfall' number represents the amount of snow measured since the previous report. All opinions are those of the individual reporters. Information regarding ski area operations is manually checked every morning and is believed to be correct at the time of the report.
