It's snowing again this morning.
The resort have reported 10cm of fresh snowfall since yesterday afternoon on the top Yamabiko area, and here by base there is right now a modest speckled-like covering of white, though the snow that is falling is of the very wet variety. Still, it is better than being rained on and we have to start somewhere.
Unfortunately the forecast isn't currently showing much in terms of snow to expect over the coming few days and if anything falls it will more than likely be rain rather than snow.
Nozawa Onsen will open as soon as there is enough snow.
