I like being able to report 30cm of fresh snowfall in a morning.
It's a good number.
It sounds like there's a bit of north westerly wind out there but as far as I can tell lift operations are getting started as planned.
Visibility is very limited on the mountain though this morning.
After some more snow during the day today, we're due some sunshine during the day tomorrow.
New lift operation times until end of March:
Nagasaka Gondola - until 4:00pm (time of last one down)
Hikage Gondola - until 4:20pm (time of last one down)
Yamabiko Number 2 Four - until 4:10pm
Skyline connecting pair - until 4:30pm
Base lifts - until 5:00pm
Yu Road - until 5:10pm
Fresh snowfall reported by the ski resort (since yesterday 3pm):
- Yamabiko (1407m): 30cm
- Uenotaira (1230m): 30cm
- Hikage (660m): 30cm
- Nagasaka (615m): 30cm
- Karasawa (563m): 15cm
Official snow depth numbers (reported by resort):
- Yamabiko (1407m): 355cm
- Uenotaira (1230m): 310cm
- Hikage (660m): 230cm
- Nagasaka (615m): 215cm
- Karasawa (563m): 170cm
