Today marks the start of Golden Week! That means that it's the last 10 days of the season with more ski lifts and runs scheduled to be open. Details below.
It's a cloudy start. Some dark grey clouds up there too and they are due to bring us some rain later on, perhaps from around lunchtime or early afternoon.
The next few days looks changeable with more settled weather due from Tuesday onwards.
Snow cover on the open runs higher on the mountain remains good and they will surely manage to remain open until the planned last day on 8th May. It will be interesting to see how much snow will be there in 10 days time.
Apart from a few mounds of piled-up snow, the base Hikage is now looking almost totally bare and Nagasaka is bare.
