Good news this morning. Nozawa-like snowfall since yesterday with the ski area, most of it coming overnight (5cm during the day yesterday). It's just great to see the ski area reporting 40-55cm of fresh snow on its slopes. I myself have measured 34cm. Visibility is certainly limited this morning but the snow should be worth it.
Great. Let this be the start of lots more of the same.
Ski area operations appear to be unchanged this morning, but I expect more to be opening up soon - especially if we get more snow during the day today as forecast.
There may be some clearer skies tomorrow and the day after, particularly Wednesday.
