Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 4cm
Snowfall at base this season 725cm
Posted on Saturday 25th February 2017 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.
Morning from Nozawa.
No fresh overnight but the resort was reporting 5-10cm during the day yesterday by 3pm and I measured 4cm - so that's what is shown in the report this morning.
It's a cloudy start to the day with light snow falling in places especially higher up on the mountain where there's still fairly limited visibility. Forecasts point to things clearing up though and I notice variable conditions in other nearby regions so anyone's guess as to what might happen!
If you like clear and sunny, early week looks like it should be good for you.
Anyway, hope you have a good last Saturday of February. Wow, it's nearly March. Crazy.
