New snowfall at base 2cm
Snowfall at base this season 426cm
Posted on Friday 23rd February 2024 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.
We have some light snow falling this morning, with a kind of light snow/dusting situation going on (on and off) since the report yesterday, so it hasn't really amounted to much in terms of cm. Perhaps we might get a few today. Beyond today, Monday is showing some potential for fresh snow.
Happy to report that Skyline (and runs off it) are back open this morning, yey!
Night skiing was planned for today and tomorrow but that has been cancelled (due to snow conditions).
Today is a national holiday and the ski area is extending ski lift operations by 30 minutes both tomorrow and Sunday.
Note: I missed the update during the day yesterday, sorry, but I think the ski area reported a few extra cm during the day. The new snowfall numbers reported below are 'since yesterday afternoon'.
Fresh snowfall since yesterday afternoon (reported by the ski area):
Yamabiko: 1cm
Uenotaira: 2cm
