New snowfall at base 44cm
Snowfall at base this season 1037cm
Posted on Tuesday 22nd February 2022 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.
More snow, and then some more snow! 56cm of fresh reported by the ski area since yesterday morning on the top Yamabiko area and up to 45cm being reported from lower areas.
Excellent.
Top areas are open this morning and conditions will be deep and totally super. Limited visibility up there along with that deep-ness, so while it's very exciting real care is required.
It's not as windy this morning and Naski has decided that conditions are good enough to make an appearance - and looking very jolly too.
The snow is due to continue through tomorrow. It is very possible that this will be the last 'big event' storm of the season (though maybe not!), so the more the better I say.
